GRANT HACKETT'S WORLD RECORD BODY SUIT: Display comprising "Speedo" Body Suit with "AUS/(Southern Cross)" logo at right & "World Champs 2001" at left, signed below by Grant Hackett, mounted in display case with "Speedo" swimming cap signed by Grant Hackett, and superb action photograph signed "Grant Hackett/ W.R. - 1500m - 14.54.56", framed & glazed, overall 61x157cm. {At the 2001 World Championships in Fukuoka, Hackett was in the peak of his speed. He set personal bests in the 400m and 800m freestyle events, finishing second to Thorpe on both occasions, and bettering the previous world record in the latter. Along with Thorpe, Klim and Kirby, they bettered the previous world record in the 4x200m freestyle. In the 1500m, Hackett attacked immediately, and stayed well ahead of Perkins' world record, and with the crowd standing and willing him on, he broke the record by 7 seconds, to claim gold}. Grant Hackett's World Record still stands.
