April 1913 usage of 1d Red pair in COMBINATION with ½d Tasmanian Pictorial on cover from Derby to Coventry, all neatly tied by good strikes of Derby and backstamped Coventry. Inadvertently paying the foreign letter rate rather than British Empire 1oz.rate. An attractive usage.

August 1913 used of 1d Red in COMBINATION with ½d NSW on 1d Roo lettercard meeting foreign letter rate to Germany and showing scene of Central Rly Stn. Brisbane in brown (margins intact). Fine condition.
Sept. 1913 use of 1d Red in COMBINATION with ½d Tasmanian Pictorial on Spurling postcard with scene of The Springs Hotel sent from Hobart to France. Stamps applied on scene side.
Nov.1913 1d Red used on postcard in COMBINATION with ½d NSW to Switzerland re-directed to Germany with both stamps PERFIN J/S (possibly Justus Scharff, but style unrecorded in Matthews). Card shows scene of NAURU. A rare example of perfins in combination and a scarce scene.
Feb.1914 use of 1d Red in COMBINATION with ½d Tasmanian Pictorial paying foreign postcard rate & sent from Cressy to USA. Scene of Corra Linn. Attractive.
July 1914 use of 1d Red pair in COMBINATION with ½d South Australia used from Pyap to USA. Scarce country usage with South Australia being one of the most difficult to find as combination usages. Slight creasing at left.
Aug. 1914 usage of 4d Orange pair on Registered mourning cover, tied by cds "MONEY ORDER EAGLEHAWK" to New York U.S.A. with San Francisco backstamp. [NB: A similar item in Leski sale No.317 realized $2,500.]
6d Ultramarine, WATERMARK INVERTED, punctured small 'OS'. The ACSC states "Watermark inverted has been recorded previously with both Large and Small OS punctures, but no evidence of their existence can be found". Cat. $7,500.
